Graphic Packaging Surpasses its Goal of Donating 150 Backpacks to Big Brothers Big Sisters

Since the beginning of May, Graphic Packaging’s Kalamazoo mill has been actively contributing to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Michigan backpack drive. This meaningful initiative collects backpacks for “littles,” aged six to 16, who are part of the nonprofit organization’s programs. We are excited to share that we have proudly donated more than 150 backpacks to support this deserving cause.

The generosity of our employees made this drive a resounding success. We especially want to thank one exceptional employee, Alton, who went above and beyond. Alton, alongside his wife Briana, donated 40 backpacks at the very beginning of the drive. His selflessness exemplifies the philanthropic spirit that resonates with the core values of our company.

Our three community pillars, which guide our sustainable business practices, community service activities and philanthropic commitments are:

      1. Putting Food on the Table
      2. Investing in Education
      3. Preserving the Environment

We were honored to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Michigan, which is so actively involved in the community. We are dedicated to being a good corporate neighbor and will continue to serve the people of Kalamazoo.
